Motorway collision caused by car changing lanes
In July 2008, Sue from Derbyshire was involved in a road traffic accident. She had been driving along the M1 in the middle lane, at approximately 40mph, when all of a sudden a car travelling in the lane to Sue’s right changed lanes into the middle lane, without checking it was safe to do so, and collided with Sue's vehicle.
Sue's vehicle was towed away from the scene of the accident and Sue sustained multiple injuries including whiplash, presenting as pain in her neck and back, and headaches.

Shunt in rear aggravates pre-existing injury and results in compensation payout
In June 2009, Mark from Cornwall was travelling in his vehicle and was stationary in his vehicle waiting to turn right. All of a sudden his car was struck in the rear by another vehicle causing the back bumper of Mark’s car to be knocked off, and the car to be thrown forward.
Mark had already been suffering from an existing back injury and the accident made his pain and discomfort increase. He attended Accident & Emergency but was advised that he was already on the strongest painkillers they were able to give him. Mark’s pain was intense and he required several weeks off work.

Road Traffic Accident - I Was Hit From Behind By A Truck
The circumstances of my accident were that I was involved in a road traffic accident when I was hit from behind by a truck.

Crash At Traffic Queue Causes Whiplash Injury
In July 2009 David from Windsor was travelling in his car when he approached a roundabout, checked that it was safe to proceed, and began to drive over the roundabout. Suddenly another vehicle, driven by the third party, struck David's car in the side. The third party driver had failed to give way at the roundabout and a collision ensued.
Shortly after the accident, David experienced pain and stiffness in his neck, shoulders and upper back, as well as headaches. He sought medical attention from his GP and was diagnosed with a whiplash injury resulting from the accident.
David decided to try and obtain compensation for the injuries he had sustained through no fault of his own, and contacted Loyalty Law for help. Rear Shunt Causes Whiplash Injury
In September 2009, Bob from Wiltshire was driving his motor vehicle when all of a sudden, and without warning, another vehicle struck Bob's vehicle in the rear.
Bob sustained a whiplash injury and a laceration to the bridge of his nose. As the accident was caused through no fault of his own, Bob decided to make a claim for compensation for the injuries he had sustained.

Vehicle shunted in rear by motorcycle leads to whiplash compensation
Rod, a full-time employee from Southampton, was on his way to work on 11th January 2008. He was in a stationary queue of traffic, at a red light waiting to turn right, when all of a sudden he was struck in the rear by a motorcycle.
Rod was initially most concerned about the safety of the motorcyclist and got out of his vehicle to help him. They exchanged details and Rod soon became aware of pain and discomfort in his neck and lower back. His employer advised him to visit his local Accident & Emergency Department as soon as possible. The Accident & Emergency staff advised Rod that he was suffering from a whiplash injury.

In July 2009 Martin from Manchester was involved in a road traffic accident when he was his vehicle was hit from behind and shunted into the car in front.
Martin sustained multiple injuries as a result of the accident including whiplash, back pain and pins and needles in his right hand.

In February 2010 Christopher from Lancashire had been travelling along the approach road to junction 22 on the M6 motorway. All of a sudden another vehicle collided with the rear of his vehicle, whilst was Christopher was travelling at about 10-15 miles per hour.
